Prove Your Archive Captured Everything

Verity Layer independently reconciles your source systems (Teams, Slack, Zoom, Email) against your compliance archive to verify 100% capture completeness — before your regulator asks.

Connected ≠ Captured

Most firms assume that if their archive connector shows green, their communications data is safe.

But API timeouts, federation errors, tenant misconfigurations, and provisioning gaps cause silent data drops — messages that were sent but never reached the archive. Your firm is exposed to regulatory action without knowing it.

The structural problem: your archive vendor reports what it received, but it cannot see what was sent at the source. It grades its own homework. No one is checking the math.

Verity Layer checks the math.

How It Works

1

Connect to Source

We connect read-only to your source system APIs — Microsoft Graph, Slack Audit API, Zoom Admin, voice platforms — and pull definitive message counts and metadata for any time window.

2

Reconcile Against Archive

We pull parallel ingestion data from your archive (Global Relay, Smarsh, Proofpoint, etc.) and match: message IDs, timestamps, user coverage, and channel completeness.

3

Report Gaps

You get an independent, verifiable reconciliation report showing exactly how many messages were sent, how many were captured, the delta, and where the gaps are — suitable for internal audit, board reporting, or regulator submission.

Not Hypothetical — Regulators Are Acting

The SEC and CFTC collected $3.4 billion in off-channel communications penalties between 2022 and 2025. Every firm that paid settled on archive completeness, not misconduct.

The firms that were fined were not necessarily doing anything wrong. They just could not prove their archives were complete.

Verity Layer gives you that proof.

What Compliance Professionals Are Saying

“Exactly the control we'd want to have. We've been asking our archive vendor for this kind of report for three years.”

— Chief Compliance Officer, Tier 2 broker-dealer

“This kind of tool is the gap in every compliance program I've seen. You can't rely on the archive to self-report completeness.”

— Former FINRA Examiner

“Reconciliation at message level, not just connector status. That's a material difference from what we have today.”

— Head of Surveillance Technology, global bank
